Hi I’m Laura Pakis, Owner and Certified Trainer of Acme Canine. At Acme Canine we train dogs for the real world using real life distractions in a setting where your dog acts out the most: the home (either yours or mine).

We schedule our appointments to accommodate our clients’ life style and abilities, providing service every day of the week. In addition each training plan is specifically designed to teach owners and their dogs a level of understanding most appropriate for them. At Acme Canine our canine professionals educate each canine/owner team using verbal instruction, hands on demonstration and written description. Because we believe obedience is a way of life, we want our clients not only to understand the how of training but the reasons why. We accomplish this through e-newsletters, tricks of the month and providing our clients with a folder brimming with dog related materials from grooming to games.

Dogs are our passion and our goal is to assist our clients in building a better lifelong relationship with their canine companion. Canine relationships are not static but an on going process and so we remain in contact with our clients long after their training has been completed.

It is important to understand that dog training is not simply a “dollars and cents” formula but rather a combination of money, energy, ability and service. At Acme Canine our certified professional trainers have a minimum 5 years of experience. We individualize our training plans to meet our client’s goals and needs using methods and techniques appropriate for their dog’s personality and temperament. It may take more time and effort on our part but it’s worth the high success rate for our clients.
