KIDPROOF YOUR DOGS AND DOG PROOF YOUR KIDS
Child/dog safety
All children should be taught to respect other living beings, be they animal or human. From birth, children need to learn that some things are just not allowed, and "be gentle" should be a common household command. Even if your household does not contain animals, your children should still be taught the basics. One day they will encounter an animal, whether it is somebody else's pet in a controlled environment, or a meeting on the street with a strange dog. Students receive verbal instruction, handouts and visual demonstrations.
DOGGIE 101: Nourished Dog, Healthy Dog, Athletic Dog, Handsome
Dog
A dog has specific needs—food, water, exercise, care…and
love. Water and love are simple requirements. This workshop is designed
for those contemplating owning a dog as well as the dog-lover. Each
1 ½ hour class will concentrate on such topics as nutrition,
games, grooming, and the necessities that keep your dog healthy and
well-mannered. Students receive verbal instruction, handouts and visual
demonstrations. An optional book, DOG OWNER’S HOME VETERINARY
HANDBOOK, is available for purchase at $23.00 (retail price $30.00)
Pet First Aid
Emergencies can occur anytime, anywhere. It's possible that you can
handle any accident that may occur with your pet. However, pets often
require special care that is not possible with general knowledge or
even with first aid supplies designed for people. During this course
ACME canine’s trained professionals will advise you on what is
required to be prepared as well as what to include in a pet first-aid
kit. Being ready will help reduce your anxiety if an emergency does
happen.
